El objetivo fue determinar la incidencia del estrés en el desempeño laboral. Los métodos empleados, consistieron en el análisis y síntesis, mediante la revisión teórica, mientras que el procesamiento de datos estadísticos, con base a instrumentos utilizados, como el cuestionario de estrés laboral OIT-OMS y la evaluación de desempeño laboral. Los resultados mostraron que existe un nivel de estrés intermedio y un desempeño bueno, por lo que este se mantiene equilibrado. En conclusión, se determina que la incidencia presentada entre el estrés y desempeño laboral es consistente con el comportamiento evidenciado en los trabajadores de la empresaWork stress as a psychosocial risk factor has an important connotation in the performance of the staff of the operational area in the company Provisali S.A., Guayaquil-Ecuador, for this reason, the study is justified in the theoretical, methodological and practical contributions it provides to the company and the development of future related studies. The objective was to determine the incidence of stress on work performance. The methods used consisted of analysis and synthesis, through theoretical review, while the processing of statistical data, based on instruments used, such as the OIT-OMS work stress questionnaire and the work performance evaluation. The results showed that there is an intermediate level of stress and good performance, so it remains balanced.
