Para su elaboración se emplearon los métodos de investigación cualitativa, cuantitativa, la investigación de campo y descriptiva, empleando el método inductivo-deductivo, la técnica de la observación, los diferentes instrumentos de investigación como: la encuesta dirigida a los estudiantes y docentes y la entrevista dirigida a la directora del plantel, para obtener la información necesaria sobre la lecto-escritura y el aprendizaje significativo en los estudiantes de la Escuela de Educación Básica Fiscal Río Putumayo. Mejorar el proceso lector no es solo tarea del docente, debe ser en conjunto con la familia, y adoptar hábitos lectores desde casa, para que los niños desarrollen el gusto por la lectura, y escritura.This research work is important since it aims to promote literacy in students, making reading a fun activity, motivating their participation, developing criticality, imagination, and creativity, generating human beings capable of solving problems, argue, infer and debate any idea, based on the framework of respect. For its elaboration, qualitative, quantitative research methods, field and descriptive research were used, using the inductive-deductive method, the observation technique, the different research instruments such as: the survey directed to students and teachers and the interview addressed to the director of the campus, to obtain the necessary information about reading-writing and significant learning in the students of the School of Basic Education Fiscal Río Putumayo.
