Sin embargo la falta de acceso a diversos factores como los tecnológicos y de financiamiento, hacen que la productividad del sector arrocero disminuya. En el cantón Daule la mayoría de los agricultores se dedica a la producción de arroz, es por ello que esta actividad agrícola se ha convertido en la principal fuente de empleo, la misma que ha aportado al desarrollo económico del cantón. En el trabajo se realizaron encuestas a los productores arroceros para conocer los principales problemas que se presentan en las etapas de producción y comercialización de la gramínea. Además con la información obtenida el método que se aplicó es de enfoque cuantitativo, y con un tipo de investigación de alcance explicativo. Se concluye que el escaso uso de tecnología en los cultivos de arroz provoca la baja productividad del sector, especialmente en los pequeños productores quienes por lo general obtienen ingresos que no son suficientes para cubrir con todos los costos de producción.The present investigation analyzes the factors that contribute in the productivity of the rice sector in the canton Daule in the period 2013-2017. However, the lack of access to various factors such as technology and financing, make the productivity of the rice sector decrease. In Daule, the majority of farmers are engaged in rice production, which is why this agricultural activity has become the main source of employment, which has contributed to the economic development of the canton. In the work surveys were carried out to the rice producers to know the main problems that appear in the stages of production and commercialization of the grass. In addition, with the information obtained, the method applied was quantitative and with a type of research of explanatory scope. It is concluded that the scarce use of technology in rice crops causes the low productivity of the sector, especially in small producers who usually obtain income that is not enough to cover all production costs.Universidad de Guayaquil.
