The problem exposed is based on the fact that students have difficulties in acquiring the English language and even more so in speaking it; for this reason the use of technology through video blogs is proposed as a possible solution to motivate students to reach the desired level according to educational standards, and the use of a teaching guide with activities focused on speaking skills has also been proposed as part of the solution to the low level of this. To obtain data a mixed approach research was used (qualitative and quantitative approach), as well as, to collect data; instruments such as an interview with the institution's English teacher and a questionnaire for the students were used, from which positive results and perceptions were obtained regarding the implementation of video blogs in the educational field, being a viable resource and that if incorporated into the classroom can be coupled with various scenarios that allow the development of students' skills in the English language. La presente investigación tomó lugar en la Unidad Educativa Liceo Cristiano de Guayaquil, en donde el objetivo principal fue conocer la influencia de los video blogs en el desarrollo de la habilidad del habla en estudiantes con un nivel de A1. El problema expuesto se basa en que los estudiantes tienen dificultades al adquirir el idioma inglés y aún más al hablarlo, es por este motivo que se propone el uso de la tecnología por medio de los video blogs como posible solución para motivar a los estudiantes a alcanzar el nivel de acuerdo a los estándares educativos, así también se ha propuesto el uso de una guía didáctica con actividades enfocadas en la habilidad del habla como una posible solución al bajo nivel de esta. Para la obtención de datos se utilizó una investigación con metodología mixta (método cualitativo y cuantitativo), así también, para la recolección de datos se hizo uso de instrumentos como una entrevista dirigida al profesor de Inglés de la institución y un cuestionario a los estudiantes, del cual se obtuvieron resultados y percepciones positivos ante la implementación de los video blogs en el ámbito educativo, siendo un recurso viable y que de ser incorporado al aula de clase puede ser acoplado a varios escenarios que permitan el desarrollo de las habilidades de los estudiantes en el idioma Inglés.Universidad de Guayaquil.
