Para conseguir una conexión funcional entre el agente de cementación y el material restaurador y lograr el éxito clínico de una restauración indirecta, se aplican diversos tratamientos para ambas superficies tanto en el sustrato dental como en el material restaurador. Debido al mal uso de estos protocolos, encontramos una alta incidencia de fracasos clínicos. Objetivo: Detallar pasos operatorios de los protocolos de cementación adhesiva de restauraciones cerámicas de discilicato de litio y zirconia. Metodología: Tiene enfoque cualitativo, exploratorio, explicativo, descriptivo de revisión bibliográfica sistemática de alcance sincrónico y transversal. Resultados: Se comprobó en diversos estudios que al tratar la superficie de la restauración de discilicato de litio con HF al 5% por 20 segundos, y posteriormente aplicando silano y adhesivo se logra una correcta cementación adhesiva por otro lado en las restauraciones de zirconio se debe tratar la superficie con un arenado/triboquímico, previo a la aplicación de un primer basado en 10-MDP/silano y adhesivo, ampliando el periodo de duración de la restauración en boca. Conclusión: Se demostró que el correcto protocolo de cementación adhesiva del disilicato de litio y zirconia logra el éxito de la restauración a largo plazoThe purpose of adhesive cementation of ceramic restorations is the bonding of two materials of different nature. To achieve a functional connection between the luting agent and the restorative material and to achieve the clinical success of an indirect restoration, various treatments are applied to both surfaces of the dental substrate and the restorative material. Due to the misuse of these protocols, we found a high incidence of clinical failures. Objective: To detail the operative steps of the adhesive cementation protocols for lithium disilicate and zirconia ceramic restorations. Methodology: It has a qualitative, exploratory, explanatory, descriptive, descriptive approach of systematic bibliographic review of synchronous and transversal scope. Results: It was proved in several studies that by treating the surface of the lithium disilicate restoration with 5% HF for 20 seconds, and subsequently applying silane and adhesive, a correct adhesive cementation is achieved. On the other hand, in zirconia restorations, the surface should be treated with a sandblasting/tribochemical treatment, prior to the application of a primer based on 10-MDP/silane and adhesive, extending the duration period of the restoration in the mouth. Conclusion: The correct lithium disilicate and zirconia adhesive cementation protocol was shown to achieve long-term success of the restoration.Universidad de Guayaquil.
