The study applies a mixed approach to analyze how these strategies promote the acquisition of speaking skills. In the context of the Ecuadorian educational landscape, where learning English is mandatory, the research addresses the challenges posed by limited school hours and lack of resources. The study aims to investigate the effectiveness of game-based strategies in improving students' motivation and engagement in language learning. The research employs qualitative and quantitative analyses, including observation, surveys, and teacher interviews, to provide information on the effectiveness of these strategies and their potential to address students' language needs. The results of the study will inform the development of a teacher's guide to facilitate the integration of Game-Based Strategies into English language instruction, thus contributing to improving the language proficiency of EFL learners. Esta investigación examina la influencia de las estrategias basadas en juegos en el desarrollo de habilidades orales en inglés como lengua extranjera (EFL) de estudiantes de quinto grado de la Escuela Particular de Educación Básica "Minerva" de Guayaquil, Ecuador. El estudio aplica un enfoque mixto para analizar cómo promueven estas estrategias a la adquisición de las destrezas orales. En el contexto del panorama educativo ecuatoriano, donde el aprendizaje del inglés es obligatorio, la investigación aborda los retos que plantean las horas lectivas limitadas y la falta de recursos. El estudio pretende investigar la eficacia de las metodologías basadas en juegos para mejorar la motivación y el compromiso de los estudiantes en el aprendizaje de idiomas. La investigación emplea análisis cualitativos y cuantitativos, incluyendo observación, encuestas y entrevistas a profesores, para proporcionar información sobre la eficacia de estas estrategias y su potencial para abordar las necesidades lingüísticas de los estudiantes. Los resultados del estudio servirán de base para la elaboración de una guía del profesor que facilite la integración de las estrategias basadas en el juego en la enseñanza del inglés, contribuyendo así a mejorar la competencia lingüística de los estudiantes primarios de EFL.Universidad de Guayaquil.
