ABEL GILBERT PONTONCANTON GUAYAQUILECUADORPDFSe realizó un estudio cuantitativo, transversal, descriptivo, analítico, no experimental utilizando como muestra 254 pacientes atendidos en las áreas de ginecología, oncología y cirugía oncológica de la consulta externa y hospitalización del hospital Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón en el periodo 2015 – 2018 con la finalidad de registrar los factores de riesgo más comunes, los medios de diagnóstico más utilizados y la terapéutica más efectiva contra el cáncer endometrial. En cuanto a factores de riesgo pudimos observar que tanto la etapa post menopaúsica, obesidad, diabetes mellitus y la terapia hormonal sustitutiva fuero los más comunes entre las pacientes estudiadas. La ecografía trans-vaginal continua siendo uno de los principales métodos de diagnóstico debido a su rapidez, bajo costo y no invasivo, seguido del estudio anatomo patológico de una muestra de biopsia que se puede obtener por legrado uterino instrumental o por biopsia de pieza quirúrgica. La Tomografía abdomino pélvica la cual nos permite buscar lesiones extrauterinas en estadios más avanzados de la enfermedad. En cuanto al tratamiento, la terapia dual (panhisterectomia + quimioterapia) fue, en la mayoría de los casos el tratamiento de elección ya que no solo se extirpa el tumor en su totalidad si no que se evita la aparición de recidivas.A quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive, analytical, non-experimental study was carried out, using as sample 254 patients attended in the areas of gynecology, oncology and oncological surgery of the outpatient clinic and the most common among the patients studied. The transvaginal ultrasound continues to be hospitalization of the Hospital Abel Gilbert Ponton in the period 2015 - 2018 with the aim of recording the most common risk factors, the most used means of diagnosis and the most effective treatment against endometrial cancer. Regarding risk factors, we observed that both postmenopausal stage and obesity one of the main diagnostic methods due to its speed, low cost and non-invasive followed by abdominal pelvic tomography which at the same time It helps us in the diagnosis also allows us to stage the injury. Regarding the treatment, dual therapy (panhisterectomy + chemotherapy) was, in most cases the treatment of choice since not only is the tumor removed in its entirety but it avoids the appearance of recurrence.Universidad de Guayaquil.
