En el desarrollo del proyecto se constató que la habilidad menos practicada es la competencia oral, por lo tanto, el nivel promedio de los estudiantes se encuentra por debajo del indicado en el Currículo Nacional (B1.1). Las dificultades para transmitir ideas, falta de motivación intrínseca y la deficiencia de conocimiento de la docente sobre el uso de la tecnología agravan el problema. Para solventar esta problemática, se propone la creación de una guía didáctica de la plataforma Flip para que los docentes puedan utilizar distintas actividades que fomenten la práctica activa de la competencia oral.The objective of this research is to establish the relationship between the use of asynchronous video communication tools and the development of the speaking skill of second year Bachillerato students from Unidad Educativa Particular Francisco Huerta Rendón. In the development of the project, it was discovered that the skill which was less practised is speaking, and therefore, the average level of students is below what is expected in the National Curriculum (B1.1). The learners’ difficulties in conveying their ideas, the scarce intrinsic motivation, and the teachers’ deficient knowledge about technology have worsened the situation. To solve this issue, the creation of a didactic guide on the use of Flip, an asynchronous videocommunication tool, is proposed to enable teachers to use different activities that promote the practice of the speaking skill.Universidad de Guayaquil.
