Esto se debe a que muchos profesionales de la salud, en particular los odontólogos, enfrentan desafíos al tratar a pacientes con este padecimiento. El presente estudio se centra en analizar estudios científicos indexados en donde hace referencia del tratamiento farmacológico y estomatológico en odontología en pacientes renales crónicos. En nuestro estudio se consideraron 30 artículos científicos de los cuales 26 cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. El tipo de investigación es de tipo descriptiva en donde se realizó una investigación exhaustiva para poder generar las propias conclusiones del estudio. Dentro de las conclusiones de la investigación se conoce que los pacientes con enfermedad renal crónica requieren una consideración especial antes de recibir tratamiento dental. La insuficiencia renal crónica puede influir en varios aspectos de la atención dental debido a los efectos que tiene en el sistema cardiovascular, la hemostasia y el metabolismo de los medicamentos. Por esta razón, es fundamental que el odontólogo colabore estrechamente con el médico tratante para garantizar la seguridad y el bienestar del paciente. This is because many healthcare professionals, particularly dentists, face challenges when treating patients with this condition. The present study focuses on analyzing indexed scientific studies that refer to pharmacological and stomatological treatment in dentistry in chronic kidney patients. In our study, 30 scientific articles were considered, of which 26 met the inclusion criteria. The type of research is descriptive where an exhaustive investigation was carried out in order to generate the study's own conclusions. Among the conclusions of the research, it is known that patients with chronic kidney disease require special consideration before receiving dental treatment. Chronic renal failure can influence several aspects of dental care due to its effects on the cardiovascular system, hemostasis, and drug metabolism. For this reason, it is essential that the dentist collaborate closely with the treating physician to ensure the safety and well-being of the patient.Universidad de Guayaquil.
