La retención dentaria es un fenómeno frecuente sin embargo existe considerable variación en la prevalencia y distribución de los dientes en las diferentes regiones de los maxilares, constituyendo los terceros molares y los caninos superiores los dientes que con mayor frecuencia quedan retenidos, presentándose con mayor frecuencia en la población adolescente y adultos jóvenes sin tener preferencia por sexo ni tipo racial. La Historia Clínica constituye un documento principal en un sistema de información hospitalario, imprescindible en su vertiente asistencial, administrativa, y además, constituye el registro completo de la atención prestada al paciente durante su enfermedad, de lo que se deriva su trascendencia como documento legal. Es una de las principales características en Cirugía Oral ya que por medio de esta historia clínica encontraremos información suficiente para intervenir en la asistencia del paciente, sin duda la utilidad de la historia clínica sobrepasa el nivel de importancia en el campo odontológico ya que nos ayudara a descifrar si el paciente se encuentra apto o no para una cirugía. Las complicaciones de los anestésicos locales en la práctica diaria tienen una incidencia baja, dada la seguridad que ofrecen estos fármacos y las dosis que suelen usarse, sin embargo, es necesario tenerla en cuenta para poder, en la medida de lo posible, evitarlas.Surgery is a branch of Medicine and Dentistry and Health Sciences who treats diseases and accidents with manual interventions in general bloody and made with a certain instrumental .
