El método aplicado en este trabajo de investigación es de tipo analítico ya que se realizó un análisis del estado actual de los autotrasplante dentarios mediante la revisión bibliográfica de 25 artículos. En la actualidad siguiendo los protocolos adecuados de selección del paciente, así como una técnica quirúrgica minuciosa puede resultar el tratamiento ideal en ciertos pacientes. Con el avance de la tecnología las tasas de éxito han aumentado hasta lograr alcanzar cifras mayores al 90%.Se destacan los factores esenciales para el éxito de éstos, como son: la revascularización postoperatoria, la reinserción del ligamento al hueso y al cemento y la importancia de la integridad del ligamento periodontal. El autotrasplante de un diente inmaduro puede ser una opción para reemplazar molares con caries extensas en pacientes jóvenes en lugar de usar prótesis fija o implanto-soportada. Los dientes para ser trasplantados deben estar formados por lo menos con el tercio cervical de su raíz. El área receptora debe ser 1-2 mm más grande y profunda que las medidas de las raíces donadoras para preservar las células del ligamento, un óptimo contacto entre ambas estructuras puede mejorar el suministro sanguíneo y los niveles de nutrición de las células del ligamento, el cual puede incrementar el éxito del autotrasplante.Autotransplantation is a surgical procedure that consists of transferring a tooth from its socket to a post-extraction socket or socket surgically made, in the same individual. The method applied in this research work is analytical, since an analysis of the current state of dental autotransplantation was carried out through the bibliographic review of 25 articles. At present, following the appropriate patient selection protocols, as well as a meticulous surgical technique, may be the ideal treatment in certain patients. With the advancement of technology, success rates have increased to reach greater than 90% .The essential factors for rhythm success are highlighted, such as: postoperative revascularization, reinsertion of the ligament to the bone and cement and the importance integrity of the periodontal ligament. Autotransplantation of an immature tooth may be an option to replace molars with extensive caries in young patients instead of fixed or implant-supported prostheses. The teeth to be transplanted must be formed with at least the cervical third of their root. The recipient area should be 1-2 mm larger and deeper than the measurements of the donor roots to preserve the ligament cells, an optimal contact between both structures can improve the blood supply and nutrition levels of the ligament cells, the which can increase the success of autotransplantation.Universidad de Guayaquil.
