| spelling | Manejo terapéutico de los trastornos funcionales asociados al frenillo lingual cortoGarzón López, Jorge AlexanderANQUILOGLOSIAANOMALIAS DENTARIASFRENILLO LINGUALPDFEl frenillo lingual corto es una alteración que muchas veces pasa inadvertido por falta de conocimiento sobre el mismo y merece su debida atención por las diferentes cantidades de alteraciones que esta causa si no es tratado a su debido tiempo, el frenillo lingual corto es una anomalía del desarrollo lingual que resulta en un frenillo anormalmente corto o grueso, la longitud del frenillo, la elasticidad y el punto de inserción en la lengua influirán en el grado de restricción de los movimientos linguales, teniendo en cuenta que es el frenillo el que conecta la parte ventral de la lengua con el piso de la boca. La siguiente investigación tuvo como objetivo dar a conocer los diferentes manejos terapéuticos del frenillo lingual corto. Donde se seleccionó la información más importante de las diferentes fuentes bibliográficas y con un posterior análisis de las mismas se escogió lo más relevante dando a conocer cuáles serían los mejores manejos terapéuticos de esta patología. Como resultado dentro de los manejos terapéuticos encontramos la terapéutica preventiva o llamada terapia miofuncional y la cual va de la mano con la terapéutica quirúrgica que engloba a la frenectomía lingual, la frenotomia simple y la técnica quirúrgica con láser. Se pudo concluir que esta problemática tiene numerosas complicaciones en las funciones como la succión, deglución, fonación y aparte problemas mecánicos, problemas en el crecimiento mandibular, problemas ortodonticos-ortopedicos y maloclusiones por ello es muy importante la intervención de las terapéuticas tanto la preventiva como la quirúrgica.The short lingual frenulum is an abnormally that is very often overlooked as a result of a lack of knowledge in respect to it and deserves its rightful attention towards the different types of mutations that this causes if left untreated overtime, the short lingual frenulum is an anomaly of the lingual development that result in an abnormally short or thick frenulum, the length of the lingual frenulum, the elasticity and beginning point on the tongue will influence the degree of restriction for the lingual movements, bearing in mind that it is the lingual frenulum that connects the ventral part of the tongue with the floor of the mouth. The following investigation was aimed at researching the different therapeutic management of the short lingual frenulum. Where the most relevant information was selected from different bibliographic sources and after further analysis the most relevant therapeutic management was selected from this pathology. As a result, within the therapeutic management we found the preventive therapy also known as myofunctional therapy which goes alongside the surgical therapy that encompasses the lingual frenectomy, the simple frenotomy and laser surgical technique. It was possible to conclude that this issue has numerous complications in the functions as the suction, swallowing, phonation as well as mechanical problems, problems in the mandibular growth, orthodontic-orthopedic problems and malocclusions through which the intervention of the preventative and surgical therapies are most importantUniversidad de Guayaquil.
