Objetivos: Describir el modelo de incertidumbre de Mishel en paciente de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos. Metodología: modalidad de investigación cualitativa de tipo fenomenológico utilizando un enfoque terpretativo recolectando datos a través de entrevista con preguntas semiestructuradas a 5 informantes claves usando de instrumento una grabadora de voz, posterior a haber aceptado y firmado el consentimiento informado. Dichos datos serán transcritos, analizados, codificados y categorizados en matrices. Resultados: Las diversas entrevistas coincidieron en que las expectativas hacia su tratamiento y enfermedad de los informantes están relacionadas a percibirse como positivas destacando la influencia en base su conducta psicoemocional y religiosa factores sociales como las visitas familiares, cuidados humanizados. por otro lado, las creencias culturales permiten afrontar lo que viven diariamente de mejor manera, además de conllevar su enfermedad de forma efectiva generando una visión conveniente a su realidad y así, mejor calidad de vida. Conclusión comprendida como las expectativas de los pacientes son positivas, influenciadas por iversos factores y como las creencias culturales permiten un mejor afrontamiento es entonces claro que estos dos aspectos pueden disminuir el nivel de ertidumbre percibidos por un paciente, destacando así mismo la necesidad de cuidar el paciente a nivel psicoemocional y espiritualIntroduction: Mishel's uncertainty model allows us to interpret how an individual can or can't, achieve to adapt to changes caused by illness or adverse situations and thus reduce or increase the levels of uncertainty respectively, which have a high influence on the psycho-emotional aspects of the individual and their physiological health during illness. Objectives: Describe Mishel's uncertainty model in an Intensive Care Unit patient. Methodology: Phenomenological qualitative research modality using an interpretive approach collecting data through interview with semi- structured questions to 5 clue informants using a voice recorder as an instrument, after having accepted and signed the informed consent. Said data will be transcribed, analyzed, coded and categorized into matrices. Results: The various interviews agreed that the expectations towards their treatment and illness of the informants are related to being perceived as positive highlighting the influence based on their psycho-emotional and religious behavior, social factors such as family visits, humanized care.
