Objetivo: Determinar cuál es la efectividad de los analgésicos en el control de dolor en cirugía de terceros molares incluidos. Metodología: Se uso el método bibliográfico, ya que es muy útil para obtener información de diferentes fuentes, por lo cual se puede investigar, analizar y comparar documentos que contengan información científica sobre analgesia en cirugía de terceros molares incluidos. Conclusiones: Todos los analgésicos cumplen con la función de controlar el dolor, pero hay algunos que son mucho más potentes que otros y se debe saber cuándo no y cuando si prescribir, además que se debe realizar una muy minuciosa y detallada anamnesis para determinar que analgésico es más conveniente recetar a nuestro pacienteWhen a third molar is removed, the patient will have post-surgical discomfort, which is normal due to trauma in the dental tissues, analgesics were used to control pain in the patient's oral cavity, and that will be prescribed according to the patient's history with appropriate indications and dosages, thus avoiding any adverse effects, which would lead to several problems in the patient. Methodology: The bibliographic method was used because it is useful to obtain information from different sources, for this reason, you can investigate, analyze, and compare documents that contain scientific information on analgesics of third molars retained. Conclusions: All analgesic fulfills the function of pain control, but some are much stronger than others and as future dentists, we must know when not and when is convenient to prescribe, Besides, a very thorough and detailed anamnesis must be performed to determine which analgesia is more convenient to prescribe to our patient.Universidad de Guayaquil.
