Existe un sin número de pacientes que presentan estas características por lo cual es necesario tener en claro cuáles son dichas características y reconocer las variantes que tiene por este motivo se realiza la presente investigación con el objetivo de determinar cuáles son las mejores opciones de tratamiento para los pacientes que presentan este síndrome, tratándose de una investigación basada en una metodología de tipo cualitativa no numérica, utilizando el método deductivo inductivo, de carácter bibliográfica, y con un diseño descriptivo con el fin de dar cumplimiento a los objetivos planteados en la investigación, se utilizaron distintas fuentes de datos para posteriormente organizar la información realizar el análisis discusión respectiva. Teniendo como principal conclusión: los pacientes que poseen el síndrome de combinación padecen problemas estéticos, funcionales, morfológicos, perdida de altura de la dimensión vertical. El tratamiento rehabilitador va a depender del avance del síndrome en el cual de ser posible la mejor alternativa es una prótesis fija implantosoportada.ABSTRACT The combination syndrome or also called Kelly syndrome owes its name to its discoverer Ellsworth Kelly in 1972, in which he described it as the set of characteristics that occur when the edentulous maxilla is antagonized by mandibular anterior teeth. There are a number of patients who present these characteristics, for which it is necessary to be clear about what these characteristics are and to recognize the variants that it has. For this reason, the present investigation is carried out with the objective of determining which are the best treatment options for patients. patients who present this syndrome, being a research based on a non-numerical qualitative methodology, using the deductive-inductive method, of a bibliographical nature, and with a descriptive design in order to comply with the objectives set out in the research, They used different data sources to later organize the information to carry out the respective discussion analysis. With the main conclusion: patients who have the combination syndrome suffer aesthetic, functional, morphological problems, loss of height of the vertical dimension.
