Los objetivos planteados en esta investigación fue: cuantificación de la incidencia de Hipotiroidismo en caninos con dermatitis; se tomaron muestras sanguíneas para determinar sus parámetros según el laboratorio de T3 – T4 y Colesterol, en 200 caninos con problemas de Dermatitis. Con relación a la edad de los caninos, el 82.50% poseen edades entre 1 – 7 años, siguiendo en representativa el 9.50 % presentan edades inferiores a un año, mientras que el 7.50% de los caninos tiene edades comprendidas entre 8 a 14 años. (Véase cuadro2). Luego de los respectivos análisis, setenta de los 200 casos resultaron positivos, lo cual quiere decir que el 35,00% de los caninos presentaron hipotiroidismo, y ciento treinta de los 200 casos resultaron negativos, que representa el 65,00%. (Véase Cuadro 4). Se determinó que los resultados de unidades T3 (ng. / dl.), fueron 20 casos positivos (28.6%), mientras que los resultados de unidades T4 (nmol. / L.), fueron 50 casos positivos (71.4%), con lo cual podemos concluir que el analices de T4 tiene una mayor eficacia de diagnosticar Hipotiroidismo. (Véase cuadro7). Analizando mas a detalle los caninos que presentaron hipotiroidismo, podernos darnos cuenta que 42 de los caninos investigado eran hembras con un porcentaje del (42.42%), mientras que únicamente 28 caninos eran machos representando el (27.72%), por lo que podemos decir que las hembras tienen un mayor porcentaje en presentar Hipotiroidismo que los machos. Entre las razas más afectadas investigadas con mayor presencia de Hipotiroidismo son: French Poodle 30%, Mestizo 15%, Schnauzer 8.57%, Shih tzu 5.71%, Golden Retriever 5.71%, Labrador 5.71%, Pitbull 4.29%, otros, 17.14%.This research was conducted in the northern city of Guayaquil, with a height of 6 m and annual rainfall of 1,176 mm of water with a temperature of 33.5 ° C to 18.9 ° C. It was determined that the results of T3 units (ng. / dl.), 20 cases were positive (28.6%), while the results of units T4 (nmol. / L.) were 50 positive cases (71.4%) with which we can conclude that analyze T4 has a greater efficiency of diagnosing hypothyroidism. (See table 7). Analyzing more in detail the developed hypothyroidism canine, podernos realize that 42 of the dogs investigated were females with a percentage of (42.42%), while only 28 dogs were male representing (27.72%), so we can say that females have a higher percentage than males Hypothyroidism presenting.
