The didactic guide was designed based on the lack of development of the writing skills of the Tenth-grade EGB students that need help to achieve the A2.2 level of proficiency at Unidad Educativa San Esteban. The investigation has the support of previous research studies that were analyzed to have an insight into the methods that the researchers could apply to help the students reach their level of proficiency. The activities focused on designing and expanding a paragraph according to their level. A survey and an interview with the designated teacher were applied to know their opinion about the didactic guide for improving their writing skills. Finally, the results showed the potential of using the didactic guide with activities designed to improve writing skills.La presente investigación se centra en la importancia de una guía didáctica para mejorar las habilidades de escritura. La guía didáctica se diseñó en base a la falta de desarrollo de las habilidades de escritura de los estudiantes de décimo grado de EGB que necesitan ayuda para alcanzar el nivel de competencia A2.2 en la Unidad Educativa San Esteban. La investigación cuenta con el apoyo de estudios de investigación anteriores que se analizaron para tener una idea de los métodos que los investigadores podrían aplicar para ayudar a los estudiantes a alcanzar su nivel de competencia. Las actividades se centraron en diseñar un párrafo y ampliarlo según su nivel. Se aplicó una encuesta y una entrevista al docente designado para conocer su opinión sobre la guía didáctica para mejorar sus habilidades de escritura. Finalmente, los resultados mostraron el potencial del uso de la guía didáctica con actividades diseñadas para mejorar las habilidades de escritura.Universidad de Guayaquil.
