Dada la importancia que el estado nutricional tiene en la evolución de estos pacientes, se exploró cuál es la asociación que existe entre la pérdida de peso de un paciente en relación a la prescripción dietética, considerando lo entregado tanto por el servicio de alimentación del hospital, como el personal encargado de los cuidados del paciente. El objetivo del estudio es determinar el riesgo nutricional mediante el tamizaje nutricional (NRS-2002) en pacientes de la UCI, ya que es una herramienta que nos permite identificar y abordar de manera precoz el estado nutricional de los pacientes hospitalizados. Pacientes que permanecieron más de 24 horas en la UCI. Completado la evaluación nutricional, se condujo en el paciente un proceso especificado de SN: Nutrición enteral. También se registró también las causas de la interrupción del SN. Con los datos recolectados se construyeron índices para evaluar la calidad del proceso del SN. Se tomó la población de (n=167) pacientes de la UCI que cumplían con los criterios de inclusión. Los datos obtenidos mediante el tamizaje nutricional, evoluciones etc, mostraron que existe riesgo de desnutrición en los pacientes que ingresaron a la UCI, demostrando con ello la validez de la hipótesis planteada. Se identificó el porcentaje de ingesta de la prescripción dietética, dichas cifras muestran que existen dos factores causales principales por los que no se cumple la prescripción dietética de los pacientes.It is known that a high percentage of patients who enter the Intensive Care Units (ICU) present nutritional risk. Given the importance that the nutritional status has in the evolution of these patients, we explored what is the association that exists between the weight loss of a patient in relation to the dietary prescription, considering what is delivered by the hospital food service, as the personnel in charge of the patient's care. The objective of the study is to determine the nutritional risk through nutritional screening (NRS-2002) in ICU patients, since it is a tool that allows us to identify and address early the nutritional status of hospitalized patients.
