El primer capítulo nos ayuda a conocer que el Terminal de Pascuales, es el centro operativo con mayor infraestructura en la Región Sur del País. Esto es una de las razones principales que permiten establecer la importancia, que toma la evaluación realizada a este departamento. En el segundo capítulo se establece, duales son las falencias que existen en el departamento de mantenimiento, a través de la elaboración de una lista de verificación que indica, el porcentaje de aplicación, de los requisitos que contiene la Norma ISO 9001 Versión 2000. El tercer capítulo se evidencia la utilización de varias herramientas de ingeniería, que dictaminan a ciencia cierta los factores que influyen en el rendimiento de las actividades operativas de mantenimiento. Además nos permite cuantificar económicamente, las pérdidas generadas por la mala administración de los recursos tangibles e intangibles, y la escasa presencia de un Sistema de Gestión de Calidad.In developing this research is presented in written form clearly, using the basic tools of industrial analysis, which help decision-making in any administrative or operational process. The first chapter helps us to know the Paschal Terminal is the largest infrastructure operational center in the Southern Region of the country. This is one of the main reasons that establish the importance, taking its evaluation of this department. The second chapter is set, dual are the weaknesses that exist in the maintenance department, through the development of a checklist indicating the percentage of application of the requirements contained in the ISO 9001 version 2000.
