El trabajo de sistematización se tituló: Evaluación de la capacidad funcional de adultos y adultas mayores. La población estudiada manifestó tener sentimientos de soledad a pesar de encontrarse en casa con familiares cercanos preferían salir a distraerse, algunos denotaron problemas de memoria, concentración y enfermedades degenerativas. Al evaluar la capacidad funcional se descubrió un leve deterioro que no impedía su desarrollo autónomo e independiente. El eje de sistematización fue evaluar la capacidad funcional. La finalidad fue generar reflexión sobre la importancia de comprender el desarrollo de la capacidad funcional de adultos y adultas mayores, también como requisito para la formación profesional previo al título de psicóloga. La metodología: cualitativa, los métodos: análisis bibliográfico, análisis de contenido y se utilizó fuentes de información para recuperar la experiencia. Es necesario reflexionar las situaciones psicosociales y sentimientos de abandono familiar que viven adultos y adultas mayores, a pesar de las circunstancias son funcionales y resilientes lo que permitió desarrollar estrategias para modificar significados de vida y reflexionar sobre su estilo de vida. En conclusión, el adulto mayor atraviesa un proceso natural, progresivo, de cambios psicológicos, sociales y biológicos; evidenciándose independencia para realizar actividades básicas e instrumentadas, resiliencia, desarrollo de estrategias y habilidades para afrontar situaciones adversasThe systematization was carried out as a product of the experiences experienced in the project: Promotion of mental health and psychosocial evaluation of the adults and adult elders of the day center "I am your friend in your old age", Duran. The systematization work was titled: Evaluation of the functional capacity of adults and adult elders. The population studied expressed feelings of loneliness despite being at home with close relatives preferred to go out to distract, some denoted memory problems, concentration and degenerative diseases. In evaluating functional capacity, a slight deterioration was discovered that did not impede its autonomous and independent development. The systematization axis was to evaluate the functional capacity. The purpose was to generate reflection on the importance of understanding the development of the functional capacity of adults and adult older, also as a requirement for vocational training prior to the title of psychologist. The methodology: Qualitative, methods: bibliographic analysis, content analysis and sources of information were used to regain the experience. It is necessary to reflect the psychosocial situations and feelings of family abandonment that live adults and adult older, despite the circumstances are functional and resilient which allowed to develop strategies to modify meanings of life and Reflect on their lifestyle.
