El propósito de esta investigación es analizar la protección pulpar directa con cemento de silicato de calcio. Por lo cual se utilizó una metodología científica trabajo de investigación bibliográfico, sistemática, descriptiva, documental y analítica de fuentes online relacionados con los cementos de silicato de calcio utilizados en la protección pulpar arrojando como resultados que si la pulpa sufre una exposición el tratamiento a realizar debe brindar resultados favorables para preservar su vitalidad. según las referencia encontradas indican que el recubrimiento pulpar directo después de la exposición mecánica se da con la colocación inmediata de un material que repare la pulpa mediante la formación de un puente dentinario y disminuya la inflamación , mientras que la terapia de conducto sería la opción de tratamiento si la exposición se debe a caries podemos concluir que la protección pulpar directa es el tratamiento ideal cuando la pulpa es injuriada y el éxito dependerá de la situación clínica y el material a utilizar.To preserve the integrity of the dentary pieces is fundamental in the oral cavity because of the functions they perform such as chewing, fonetics, aesthetics and thus avoid invasive treatments such as endodontics or extraction that alter the function of it. The purpose of this research is to analyze direct pulp protection with calcium silicate cement. For this reason, it was used a scientific methodology of bibliographic, systematic, descriptive, documentary and analytical research work of online sources related to calcium silicate cements used in pulp protection, giving as results that if the pulp suffers an exposure, the treatment to be carried out must provide favorable results to preserve its vitality. According to the references found, the direct pulp coating after mechanical exposure is given with the immediate placement of a material that repairs the pulp by forming a dentin bridge and reduces inflammation, while root canal therapy would be the treatment option if the exposure is due to caries. We can conclude that direct pulp protection is the ideal treatment when the pulp is injured and the success will depend on the clinical situation and the material to be used.Universidad de Guayaquil.
