| spelling | Alteraciones esqueletales bimaxilares en pacientes con deglución infantilRivas Paredes, Dayana GabrielaALTERACIONES BUCODENTALESDEGLUCIONODONTOLOGIA PEDIATRICAPDFLas alteraciones bimaxilares esqueletales son aquellas que afectan el desarrollo del sistema estomatognático, están relacionadas con hábitos nocivos como lo es la deglución infantil que es prolongada más allá de su función fisiológica, teniendo como consecuencia el mal posicionamiento lingual afectando tanto el desarrollo mandibular por un exceso de estimulación provocando prognatismo mandibular, y en el maxilar que no ha recibido estimulo se va alterar el diámetro transversal, teniendo como resultado un colapso maxilar. OBJETIVO: Determinar la relación entre la deglución infantil y las alteraciones esqueletales bimaxilares. METODOLOGÍA: Los métodos empleados en este trabajo son analítico – sintético, porque para la realización de este trabajo investigativo se realizó un análisis teórico científico y síntesis de las diversas fuentes de información que aportaron datos importantes. RESULTADOS: En la deglución infantil interfieren un conjunto de estructuras anatómicas, en la cual la lengua va a tener una posición hacia abajo y anterior, si esta posición no se transforma con el tiempo, se van a desarrollar alteraciones en el crecimiento de los maxilares, para que la lengua tome la posición correcta se deben emplear aparatología de reeducación lingual. CONCLUSIÓN: Al finalizar esta investigación se concluye que la deglución infantil es un proceso fisiológico, donde la posición de la lengua se encuentra hacia abajo y adelante para ejercer la lactancia, si esta posición lingual persiste más allá de los dos años se considera un hábito nocivo, para el tratamiento de este hábito se utiliza reeducadores linguales.Skeletal bimaxillary alterations are those that affect the development of the stomatognathic system, this are related to harmful habits such as infants swallowing that last beyond its physiological function, resulting in a poor tongue positioning affecting both mandibular development due to excess of stimulation causing mandibular prognathism, and in the maxilla that has not received stimulation the transverse diameter will be altered, resulting in maxillary collapse. OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between infant swallowing and bimaxillary skeletal disorders. METHODOLOGY: The methods used in this work are analytical - synthetic, because in order to carry out this investigative work, a scientific theoretical analysis and synthesis of the various sources of information that provided important data were carried out. RESULTS: In infant swallowing, a set of anatomical structures interfere, in which the tongue will have a downward and anterior position, if this position is not changed over time, alterations will develop in the growth of the jaws, in order for the tongue to take the correct position, tongue retraining appliances must be used. CONCLUSION: At the end of this investigation, it is concluded that infant swallowing is a physiological process, where the position of the tongue is down and forward to exercise breastfeeding, if this tongue position persists beyond two years, it is considered a harmful habit, for the treatment of this habit, lingual re-educators are used.Universidad de Guayaquil.
