En la actualidad el número de lesiones dentomaxilares traumáticas ha aumentado dramáticamente en la literatura e incluye un amplio espectro de variables, ncluyendo factores orales, ambientales y de comportamiento humano. Objetivo: Determinar los traumatismo dentomaxilar en el informe pericial odontológico en el Cantón Sacha durante el perido 2015 y 2016. Metodología: Estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, analítico y de corte transversal, incluyó 141 pacientes que presentaron accidentes de tránsito que recibieron atención en el Centro de Salud tipo C Joya de los Sachas Distrito 22D01. Se utilizó el programa SPSS versión 21 para el análisis estad´sitico. Resultados: El accidente vehcular y de motocicleta, tipo choque o volcamiento fueron los más frecuentes. Se encontró 68 pacientes con lesiones dentoalveolares, el 78% (53) correspondió a la arcada superior y el 22% (15) a la inferior. La fractura del esmalte (41%) fue la más frecuente. La concución (42%) y la subluxación (33%) fueron las lesiones periodontales más comunes. Conclusión: El no uso de caso protector aumenta el riesgo 10 veces de traumatismo dentomaxilar (OR: 10,404 IC 95% 0,106-97,933). Se encontró asosiación entre el traumatismo dentomaxilar con el sexo masculino, la edad de <35 años, accidente es de tipo vehicular, el accidente en moto y la intensidad del traumatismo (p<0,005).
