El contexto de la pandemia por COVID-19 limitó que los niños puedan interactuar con sus pares, afectando el dominio de las habilidades sociales básicas. El presente estudio tiene por objetivo analizar el desarrollo de habilidades sociales básicas conseguidas mediante el juego como estrategia aplicada en niños de edad temprana en la ciudad de Durán/Panorama; enmarcado bajo la metodología de estudio de caso y con un diseño fenomenológico, con una muestra de cuatro niños. Los instrumentos y técnicas utilizadas se componen por el diario de campo, la aplicación inicial y final de la Escala de Habilidades Sociales de Lacunza (2005) y la entrevista. En conclusión, se presentaron cambios progresivos durante el estudio, alcanzando el dominio de la mayor parte de las habilidades sociales básicasEarly childhood represents a crucial stage for human psychosocial development. The context of the COVID-19 pandemic limited children's ability to interact with their peers, affecting their basic social skills. The present study aims to analyze the development of basic social skills achieved through play as a strategy applied in children of early age in the city of Durán/Panorama; framed under the case study methodology and with a phenomenological design, with a sample of four children.
