| spelling | Restauración estética y funcional del segmento anterior con prótesis fijaManosalvas Lemus, Kerly NicholePROTESIS DENTAL PARCIAL FIJAREHABILITACION BUCALOCLUSION DENTALPDFLa prótesis fija es el arte de restaurar los dientes dañados, fracturados, perdidos usando como pilar en los dientes naturales .Objetivo del presente caso clínico es devolver el funcionamiento del sistema masticatorio y a la vez la estética en el sector anterosuperior mediante la prostodoncia fija metal cerámica .Métodos y materiales se realizó en un paciente de sexo femenino de 54 años de edad con edentulismo parcial en el maxilar superior mediante las prótesis fijas metal cerámicas debido a la excelente estética y biocompatibilidad y su evolución de las propiedades mecánicas metal cerámica donde estudios han comprobado y demostraron la durabilidad de este tipo de tratamiento , dentro de las ventajas existen dos principales : en primer lugar es más resistente a la fractura coronaria y si es metal porcelana es más fuerte que la cerámica pura , la segunda razón constituye el único medio seguro de fabricar una prótesis parcial fija estética cuando se precisa un recubrimiento completo sobre uno o dos retenedores .Los resultados obtenidos fueron satisfactorios para el paciente ya que se logró rehabilitar adecuadamente las piezas dentales involucradas desde un punto de vista estético y funcional ( fonética y masticatoria ). Concluimos que en la odontología actual en donde la estética tiene como prioridad en lo tratamientos dentales y a la vez debe de estar capacitado para poder saber elegir los materiales técnicas más adecuados para sus tratamientos sin descuidar los aspectos funcionales de la cavidad oral.The fixed prosthesis is the art of restoring damaged teeth, broken, lost using as a pillar in the .Objective natural teeth of this case report is to restore the functioning of the masticatory system while aesthetics in the anterior sector by ceramic metal fixed prosthodontics .Methods and materials was performed in a female patient of 54 years of age with partial edentulous maxilla with a fixed prosthesis ceramic metal due to the excellent aesthetics and biocompatibility and evolution of ceramic metal mechanical properties where studies have shown and demonstrated the durability of this type of treatment, within the advantages there are two main: first it is more resistant to coronary fracture and if metal porcelain is stronger than pure ceramics, the second reason is the only safe means of make a fixed partial denture aesthetics when a complete coating on one or two retainers .The results were satisfactory for the patient as it was achieved adequately rehabilitate the teeth involved from an aesthetic and functional (phonetic and masticatory) is required. We conclude that in today's dentistry where aesthetics is a priority in dental treatments and at the same time must be trained to know how to choose the most appropriate materials for their treatment techniques without neglecting the functional aspects of the oral cavity.Universidad de Guayaquil.
