El objetivo de esta investigación es realizar un análisis situacional de la infraestructura turística en tiempos de COVID-19 del cantón Salitre durante la emergencia sanitaria, realizando comparaciones con el antes y después de la pandemia. El cantón ofrece diferentes atracciones turísticas uno de los principales atractivos es la playa Santa Marianita, entre otros lugares que se puede realizar mejoras para de esa forma se sientan satisfechos con el servicio obtenido. En donde se evaluó por medio de encuestas realizadas a turistas que transitaban por las calles de Salitre, cuál era su apreciación sobre la infraestructura turística en diferentes categorías que mantiene el cantón, con sus respectivas dimensiones más importantes con el fin de conocer la realidad actual de cómo ha afectado esta pandemia en el sector turístico, de acuerdo con la información obtenida permitiendo conocer la percepción de los turistas. Como conclusión se determinó varias deficiencias en su infraestructura, así mismo se pudo establecer que los comerciantes se reinventaron para no ser golpeado en su economía. Además recomendar un conjunto de estrategias para recuperar la estabilidad económica mejorando la infraestructura turística por parte de las entidades municipales.In the hardest moments of the pandemic, the province of Guayas was the most affected in our country, due to the increase in infections and deaths, in such a way that it caused the closure of businesses and services, as a consequence there were serious economic problems in addition to the affectation of the tourist infrastructure in all sectors that offer economic growth in the canton, therefore we asked the following question, what have been the changes in the tourist infrastructure in the canton Salitre in times of COVID-19? The objective of this research is to carry out a situational analysis of the tourist infrastructure in times of COVID-19 of the Salitre canton during the health emergency, making comparisons with the before and after the pandemic. The canton offers different tourist attractions, one of the main attractions is the Santa Marianita beach, among other places where improvements can be made so that they feel satisfied with the service obtained. Where it was evaluated through surveys of tourists who passed through the streets of Salitre, what was their appreciation of the tourist infrastructure in different categories that the canton maintains, with their respective most important dimensions in order to know the current reality of how this pandemic has affected the tourism sector, according to the information obtained allowing to know the perception of tourists. As a conclusion, several deficiencies in its infrastructure were determined, as well as it was established that the merchants reinvented themselves so as not to be hit in their economy.
