El presente trabajo de titulación se basa en el “Periodismo Comunitario como medio de información y participación de la comuna San Pablo del cantón Santa Elena”. A través del proyecto se pretende solucionar la problemática de la investigación, que consiste en la falta de información hacia los habitantes sobre los temas relevantes de su localidad y la falta de comunicación directa con las autoridades. El tipo de investigación es descriptiva, explicativa, y cualitativa; la población es de 14022 habitantes, mediante muestra probabilística se determinó un número de 389 encuestados; las técnicas utilizadas para recopilar información son la observación, la entrevista y la encuesta. El resultado obtenido de la aplicación de los instrumentos correspondientes se representa de forma tabular, gráfica y textual de cada pregunta realizada a los diferentes estratos. Con estos resultados se justifica la ejecución de la propuesta de crear un boletín informativo que permita el desarrollo y organización de la comuna San Pablo.Community journalism has become the voice of those marginal places which do not have the opportunity to express their ideas and find ways to develop their environment. The present investigation is based on "Community journalism as a means of information and participation of the commune San Pablo, canton Santa Elena". This investigation aims to solve the problem of this research, which consists of the lack of information about the relevant issues of this place and the lack of direct communication with the authorities. The type of research is descriptive, explanatory, and qualitative; the population of the area is 14022 inhabitants, the interview was conducted was with 389 respondents; The techniques used to gather information are observation, interview and survey. The result was obtained from the application of the corresponding instruments, it is represented in tabular, graphic and textual way for each question made to the different strata.
