ABEL GILBERT PONTONCANTON GUAYAQUILECUADORPDFEl presente trabajo de titulación describe la falta de adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral que presentan los pacientes que han sido diagnosticados con VIH/SIDA en el Hospital de especialidades Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón, en el área de consulta externa, durante el periodo 2 Enero del 2014 hasta el 30 de Diciembre del 2016. El texto tiene como objetivo principal establecer las causas, factores, influencia y riesgos principales que se asocian a la no adherencia de la terapia antirretroviral. Entre las principales causas que inciden son el olvido por parte del paciente en su medicación, interrupción del tratamiento e incumplimiento del horario establecido. Los datos analizados fueron proporcionados por parte del Hospital, después de un cálculo de la muestra se obtuvo un estimado de 279 personas que mediante el historial clínico, se analizó el género, edad, nivel de estudios, estado civil, situación laboral, situación epidemiológicas, repercusión clínica y régimen terapéutico al que pertenecen. En el capítulo I se plantea el problema de la investigación, objetivos, justificación, delimitación, variables e hipótesis; en el capítulo II se analiza el marco teórico en el que se estudia la teoría general de la investigación, así como el campo de investigación, referentes investigativos entre otros subtemas analizados. Capitulo III, se describe el marco metodológico, caracterización del trabajo, criterios de inclusión y exclusión, viabilidad, operacionalización de las variables, metodología empleada para el análisis de los resultados y consideraciones bioéticas, en el capítulo IV se determinan los resultados, de los referentes investigativos se plantea una discusión y finalmente se perfecciona las conclusiones y recomendaciones.The present titration work describes the lack of adherence to antiretroviral treatment presented by patients who have been diagnosed with HIV / AIDS at the Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón specialty hospital, in the outpatient area, during the period January 2, 2014 until December 30, 2016. The main objective of the text is to establish the causes, factors, influence and main risks associated with the non-adherence of antiretroviral therapy. Among the main causes that affect are the forgetting on the part of the patient in his medication, interruption of the treatment and breach of the established schedule. The analyzed data were provided by the Hospital, after a calculation of the sample, an estimated 279 people were obtained through the clinical history, analyzed the gender, age, level of studies, marital status, employment status, epidemiological situation, clinical repercussion and therapeutic regimen to which they belong. In chapter I the problem of research, objectives, justification, delimitation, variables and hypotheses is raised; Chapter II analyzes the theoretical framework in which the general theory of research is studied, as well as the field of research, research references among other subtopics analyzed.
