A través de datos realizados por la dirección de estudios de la Agencia Nacional de Tránsito del Ecuador se aprecia que la Provincia del Guayas es la que presenta el número más alto de incidentes, incrementando estos desde el año 2016 a diferencia de su año antecesor. A lo largo del año 2018 fueron registrados múltiples accidentes en transportes interprovinciales e intraprovinciales en vías de la provincia del Guayas lo cuales generaron descontento e inseguridad en los usuarios y problemas para conductores y cooperativas. El presente proyecto se enfoca en el desarrollo de un prototipo con hardware libre que permita la obtención de información veraz yoportuna que contribuye a determinar las causas y consecuencias de los accidentes de tránsito, donde de ser el caso de presentarse esta situación no deseada sea notificada a través de un mensaje SMS utilizando tecnología celular GSM-GPRS con la información de la ubicación del siniestro por medio de la tecnología GPS. Es decir, para que contribuya hacer un elemento correctivo para la problemática presentada.The theme of the work is linked to the collection of intercantonal public transport data in the province of Guayas, which is widely used by a number of people for different situations such as work or study. Through data made by the study direction of the National Traffic Agency of Ecuador, it can be seen that the Province of Guayas is the one that presents the highest number of incidents, increasing since 2016 as opposed to its predecessor year. Throughout the year 2018, multiple accidents were registered in interprovincial and intraprovincial transports in the Guayas province, which generated discontent and insecurity in the users and problems for drivers and cooperatives. This project focuses on the development of a prototype with free hardware that allows the collection of accurate and timely information that helps determine the causes and consequences of traffic accidents, where the case of presenting this unwanted situation is notified through an SMS message using GSM-GPRS cellular technology with the information of the location of the accident by means of GPS technology.
