Al no existir estudios extensos sobre ambas variables, mucho menos en poblaciones universitarias, se decidió investigar el grado de relación entre el coeficiente intelectual con el tiempo empleado para el control inhibitorio de estudiantes universitarios. Para lo cual se estudió las puntuaciones aleatorias de 51 alumnos universitarios del WAIS IV y T5D para analizar la correlación existente. Por medio del software informático SPPS se logró determinar una baja correlación negativa de Pearson (r= -0,333) entre el control inhibitorio y las puntuaciones del coeficiente intelectual, siendo la baja asociación un indicador de poca relación existente entre ambos componentes. The intellectual quotient conforms to the quantifiable score of intelligence, as a construct employs mental operations such as executive functions, being the components responsible for processing information from the medium and obtaining adaptive responses; among them, inhibition or inhibitory control allows regulation or control at the time of issuing a response. In the absence of extensive studies on both variables, much less in university populations, it was decided to investigate the degree of relationship between the intellectual quotient and the time spent in the inhibitory control of college students. For this purpose, the random scores of 51 WAIS IV and FDT college students were studied to analyze the existing correlation.
