En su metodología se utilizó la modalidad cuali-cuantitativa, bibliográfica, de campo y descriptiva para obtener información más relevante del trabajo. Además, se realizaron entrevistas a los docentes y a la autoridad máxima y encuestas a los estudiantes de la básica media, en donde el rector, las docentes y estudiantes mostraron interés en el deseo de innovar las clases de matemáticas con nuevos métodos que faciliten el proceso de aprendizaje. Por otro lado, un 85% de los estudiantes expresaron que las matemáticas son muy complejas de entender, y a su vez manifestaron el deseo de aprender de forma distinta las matemáticas. A raíz de estos resultados, se propuso una guía metodológica fundamentada en el método Singapur, ahí se encuentran actividades que facilitaran el aprendizaje de la matemática. Las actividades son de acuerdo a temas sugeridos en las entrevistas de los docentes y con los cuales los estudiantes tienen mucha dificultad, esta guía aportará significativamente en el desarrollo de habilidades y competencias matemáticas en la básica mediaThe research of this project was developed in the Educational Unit "Guayas" of the city of Guayaquil, which proposes the elaboration of a methodological guide with activities that develop skills and competencies the process of learning mathematics of students. Its methodology used the qualitative-quantitative, bibliographic and field modality to obtain more relevant information of the work. In addition, interviews were conducted with teachers and the highest authority, and surveys were conducted with students in the middle where the rector, teachers and students showed interest in the desire to innovate math classes with new methods that facilitate the learning process.
