El objetivo general del trabajo es analizar el sector comercial de la ciudad de Babahoyo periodo 2012–2016, mediante la revisión investigativa para identificar posibles soluciones que permitan la potencialización del sector en las parroquias rurales y urbano marginales. La metodología utilizada en la realización del trabajo investigativo se basó en las teorías del método explorativo y descriptivo que permite sintetizar todos los aspectos generales y básicos que debe contener toda investigación científica para el avance y desarrollo de la sociedad del conocimiento. El método cuantitativo se empleó en la ejecución ordenada de variables en las cuales existen datos numéricos exactos, los mismos que se tabularán y analizarán de forma sistemática y ordenada; mientras el método cualitativo es empleado para dar análisis a aquellas variables que no se cuantifican con datos numéricos pero que si pueden ser revisadas de forma objetiva en base los criterios formales obtenidos durante el proceso de formación académicaIn the present work, a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the evolution of the commercial sector of the Babahoyo county was carried out with the purpose of proposing a proposal that contributes to the improvement of the sector and the economic and social development of the area. The general objective of the work is to analyze the commercial sector of the city of Babahoyo period 2012-2016, through the research review to identify possible solutions that allow the potentialization of the sector in the rural and urban marginal parishes. The methodology used in the realization of the research work was based on the theories of the exploratory and descriptive method that allows to synthesize all the general and basic aspects that all scientific research must contain for the advancement and development of the knowledge society. The quantitative method was used in orderly execution of variables in which there are exact numerical data, which will be tabulated and analyzed in a systematic and orderly manner; while the qualitative method is used to give analysis to those variables that are not quantified with numerical data but that can be reviewed objectively based on the formal criteria obtained during the academic training processUniversidad de Guayaquil.
