Resumo:The present work contemplates a research carried out to the entrepreneurs of diverse productive sectors of the province of the Gold, pertaining to the public and private sector. Its purpose was to assess the personal management skills of its employees, to determine if these are satisfactory from the perception of managers. The development of personal skills has become increasingly important, because it is through them that the collaborators of an organization give their contribution to achieve business competitiveness, through theirlevel of self-knowledge and self-control, time, their emotional intelligence, the determination of values and priorities and the creative solution of problems. From the result obtained from the research, it was verified that there is no significant difference between the averagesof the skills: Level of self-knowledge, Performance in stressful situations and Analytical and creative solution of problems, in the human resource that is developed in public companies and private companies in the province of El Oro.
