This study is based on the importance and impact of the social worker's intervention in the rehabilitation programs offered by the CETAD, which address a latent problem in society: drug dependence and its consequences for both current and future generations. The methodology used was a qualitative approach, collecting data from the perceptions of ten key informants, who are patients in the rehabilitation process, and the social worker of CETAD "Volver a Vivir". The interview technique was applied, consisting of 15 questions for the users and 10 for the Social Work professional, to obtain relevant information, which was systematized and triangulated through descriptive and analytical-deductive methods. The results obtained showed that there is an indirect intervention on the part of the social worker of the center with the patients in recovery, her intervention is based on managing the communication of the patients with their families and supervising their progress and behavior in the treatment program. rehabilitation.
