The lifting of the information was based on the use of an exploratory research model of experimental character due to the samples requested for the test of the retraction by drying in the dwellings located in the will of God enclosure of that Canton. For the experimental part, the study determined the construction of three reinforced concrete porches, which would provide information on the process of retraction by drying the materials……..La retracción por secado hace referencia a una serie de deformaciones de carácter no instantáneo, que dependen directamente del tiempo, donde la gradiente de la humedad entre el material y el medio en el que se encuentra inmersa una estructura de hormigón o la aplicación de tensión que sobre pasa lo estimado tiende a incidir en los cambios irreversibles en los elementos estructurales de una construcción. Ante aquello, el presente estudio tiene como objetivo determinar los parámetros que influyen en el comportamiento de los elementos estructurales de una vivienda Tipo, debido a la retracción del hormigón, en el sector urbano de La Troncal. El levantamiento de la información se basó en el uso de una modelo de investigación exploratoria de carácter experimental debido a las muestras solicitadas para el ensayo de la retracción por secado en las viviendas ubicadas en el recinto Voluntad de Dios de dicho cantón.
