Propuesta de alternativa de vías para mejorar la conectividad de la Ciudadela Colinas del Maestro

A suburb named “Colinas del maestro” located in the city of Guayaquil, presents problems of poor vehicle flow, congestion and isolation with respect to the main roads. The present investigation constituted an application of knowledge in favor of a proposed solution to a specific problem in the field of traffic engineering, that is, it sought to propose an improvement to the traffic of this suburb. Quantitative and qualitative methodology was used, with applied research. The results obtained indicated that, on average, 2,733 vehicles/day transit in this area. In addition, the lack of traffic signs within the suburb was evident. Therefore, it is concluded that an alternative route would be the most effective, timely and viable option as a solution to the problem that arises in this sector. The creation of an alternate route will significantly contribute to improving urban mobility in the suburb. Likewise, the implementation of adequate traffic signs will also contribute, to a certain extent, to improving mobility in the sector.
