總結:The study focuses on improving the drinking water system in Recinto Las Mercedes to ensure its safety and sustainability. A mixed methodological approach is employed, combining quantitative and qualitative techniques to fully understand the problem and design effective solutions. The quantitative approach is used to gather precise and measurable data required in civil engineering, such as flow velocities and pipe diameters, through hydraulic modeling. On the other hand, the qualitative approach provides information about the social and environmental context through interviews and surveys with local residents. The study adopts a descriptive scope to characterize the current potable water distribution system in Recinto Las Mercedes, identify community needs and requirements, and provide a basis for technical design. Surveys and semi-structured interviews are used as the main data collection techniques. The target population includes all residents and stakeholders involved in the supply and management of drinking water in the area. The sample in the qualitative research is selected through various methods, such as sampling extreme, typical, critical, and sensitive cases, as well as theoretical and expert sampling. A sample of 75 sector residents is surveyed, and a civil engineering specialist is interviewed. In conclusion, the mixed methodological approach and descriptive scope allow for a comprehensive understanding of the needs and conditions of the drinking water system in Recinto Las Mercedes, thus providing a solid foundation for the design and implementation of effective and sustainable improvements.
