סיכום:The creation of the 'Architectural Design of the Malecón with Tourist Pier for the parish of Puerto Bolívar in the canton of Machala' arises as a comprehensive response to the complex challenges that affect this coastal community. One of the main problems is the collapse of the cabotage dock due to a devastating earthquake, which has had a profound impact on the local economy and cultural identity. The research focused on critically analysing the landscape environment, revealing an imbalance between the natural and the built. The underlying causes of this situation were identified, serving as a basis for the formulation of an urban-architectural solution that seeks to minimize the negative effects and meet the needs of citizens. The scientific methodology applied was divided into four phases: establishment of a theoretical framework, followed by the methodological framework, analysis of results and development of the regeneration proposal for the boardwalk. The main objective is to design a functional boardwalk that takes advantage of the natural and local environment to benefit the community economically. The use of sustainable materials such as plastic wood is proposed to ensure durability and contribute to the preservation of the environment. In addition, the creation of multifunctional spaces that serve as meeting points and tourist attractions, including commercial and service areas, is planned, integrating biophilic architecture to highlight the rich heritage of its flora, fauna, history, and culture. In summary, this project is developed in four phases in order to comprehensively address the challenges and revitalize the Puerto Bolívar boardwalk, promoting sustainable and prosperous development.
