This facility is conceived not merely as a temporary shelter but as an environment where residents can find an extended stay that offers not only quality medical assistance but also access to administrative services, recreational spaces, communal areas, and workshop programs designed to foster their independence and reinforce their sense of belonging to society. The architectural proposal is based on the application of “Biophilic Architecture” criteria, an approach that seeks to reconnect humans with nature through design. In this context, the integration of natural elements such as water bodies, gardens, and green spaces, along with the utilization of natural ventilation and lighting, is prioritized. These components not only contribute to creating an aesthetically pleasing environment but also play a crucial role in promoting the physical, mental and psychological, key aspects in the lives of older adults........ |
