The methodology used was of quantitative approach, with a correlational and experimental scope. Laboratory tests were carried out with different dosages of metallic fibers in the rigid pavement mixes to evaluate their effect on the mechanical properties of the material. The results obtained indicated a significant improvement in pavement strength and toughness with the addition of metallic fibers, suggesting their feasibility as a strategy to improve the structural behavior of pavements.
