El problema al que se intenta dar un criterio de solución es, dado que la economía ecuatoriana es dependiente de las exportaciones petroleras y tradicionales, le favorece o no firmar acuerdos comerciales para incentivar tales exportaciones. El contexto se basa en la consideración de la evolución de las exportaciones tradicionales como instrumento que se beneficie de los acuerdos comerciales. La metodología usada tiene relación con el análisis estadístico descriptivo y modelos de tendencia para pronósticos aplicados a variables de estudio como la producción y la explotación de camarón.
