Para lograr este proceso se inició investigando la historia de la radio, sus orígenes en el Ecuador y cómo ha evolucionado en la actualidad enfocándose en la ciudad de Guayaquil, posterior a esto se indagó acerca de los programas medioambientales radiales, es decir, se recabó información teórica de los antecedentes de estos programas con enfoque de cuidado ambiental dentro de la ciudad portuaria.
