Lägg till en tagg | Sammanfattning: | This research was carried out with the objective of Analyzing balsa wood exports and their contribution to Ecuador's GDP in the 2015-2019 period. The methodology to be used was descriptive, documentary, quantitative, with the use of records from the Central Bank of Ecuador and the Ecuadorian Association of Wood Industries (AIMA), where it could be observed as main results that Ecuador has a comparative advantage in balsa wood production and should take advantage of the growth in world imports of this agricultural good. In addition, a 19.9% decrease in balsa wood exports was observed in 2016, continuing its decline in 2017, with 14.8%, followed by a very encouraging growth in 2018, at 23%, with a higher growth in 2019, of 71.8%. With respect to GDP, this macroeconomic indicator experienced a fall of 0.7%, GDP maintained growth in the following annual periods, reaching an increase of 4.4% in 2017, then in 2018 it experienced a growth of 3, 1%, while in 2019, the growth experienced by GDP was the lowest, standing at 0.5%........ |
