| Resumo: | This thesis focuses on the architectural design of a Specialized Oncology Center, located in the city of Babahoyo, Ecuador, with a comprehensive perspective that incorporates the principles of Feng Shui. Oncology, as a branch of medicine dedicated to the treatment of cancer, requires not only advanced medical technology, but also a physical environment that promotes the well-being and healing of patients. In this context, the application of the principles of Feng Shui is explored, an ancient Chinese practice that seeks to harmonize the environment to improve people's health and well-being. The architectural design of the center seeks to integrate elements of nature, natural light, and the distribution of space in a way that favors the circulation of positive energy and fosters an environment of calm and serenity. A detailed analysis of the topography of the land, the orientation of the building, and the layout of the interior and exterior spaces will be conducted, all with the goal of creating an environment that promotes healing and comfort for both patients and medical staff. In addition, a comparative study will be carried out between conventional designs and the proposed design, evaluating aspects such as the efficiency in the use of space, the functionality of the facilities, and the perception of users. The results obtained are expected to provide a solid foundation for the implementation of holistic and humancentered architectural practices in the healthcare setting. |
