With this purpose, a non-experimental, transversal, correlational study was designed, in which was applied the observation technique, on a sample of 382 houses in the districts of Piura, Castilla and “Veintiséis de Octubre”, through a probabilistic, stratified and multistage sampling, where the primary sampling units were the districts mentioned (Piura, Castilla and Veintiséis de Octubre), followed by the urbanizations of each district, and finally those of the single-family homes. The results showed that: those responsible for the design and construction of the houses are people with a low level of specialization, and the bioclimatic design factors have not been considered. The existing homes do not have comfort because the lighting and air quality conditions are inadequate, thus, such houses do not offer thermal comfort. In conclusion, there is a significant and moderate relationship between the factors of Bioclimatic Design employees and the comfort of the Single Family Homes in the districts of Piura, Castilla and “Veintiséis de Octubre”, in 2016. |
