Riassunto:The general objective of this research was to analyze how the criminalization of the crime of digital violence in the comprehensive criminal organic code (COIP) would protect the right to privacy of women in Ecuador. Digital violence has had a growing impact intertwined with some figures protected by law, such as honor, moral damage and the image itself, it is transformed into a new form of criminality around the world, through the use of the new Technologies of Information and Social Communication. Among the results that were evidenced in the present investigation, it stands out that in Ecuador, the highest percentage of victims of digital violence are women, for which it is necessary to typify all malicious conduct aimed at disseminating private content. The present investigation was carried out under a mixed approach, the same one that is in charge of collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, in the same way, these are collected under controlled and logical procedures which are intended to obtain results in order to certify the idea response to defend.
