Shrnutí:This research corresponds to the analysis of the digital platforms used by the Guayaquil newspapers Expreso and El Universo in the creation and dissemination of journalistic content. The research is of a qualitative nature because the techniques of the interview and the observation sheet were used. For the application of the interview, a questionnaire was created for the editors of both media; while the observation sheet was used to collect information on the content published on their digital platforms Instagram and Tiktok, here the types of content, formats, audiovisual resources and informative treatment were identified. According to the information collected and analyzed from the interviews, it was determined that the influence of new communication trends has an impact on the creation of journalistic content. For example, through the observation sheets it was determined that Diario Expreso and Diario El Universo have in common that the informative content is the most widely disseminated. However, the other types of content vary according to the media. In Diario Expreso, the second place is occupied by entertainment content and the third place by opinion. Meanwhile, in El Universo the second place is occupied by advertising content and the third by opinion.
