Despite the existence of regulations prohibiting this practice, poverty, lack of opportunities, and family disintegration continue to perpetuate this issue, forcing many minors to work under exploitative and vulnerable conditions. The general objective of the study is to examine the policies and strategies implemented by the Ecuadorian government to eradicate child labor and ensure respect for children's rights. To achieve this, the main causes of this problem are identified, the current legal framework is analyzed, and recommendations are proposed to improve state intervention. The research methodology follows a qualitative and quantitative approach, involving a review of national and international regulations, analysis of statistical data from the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC), and interviews with legal and child protection experts.
