Description
Summary:The text presents a degree project focused on energy efficiency and the development of a guide for the use of thermal insulating materials in urban housing. The problem of high energy consumption in homes due to the lack of adequate thermal insulation is highlighted, which leads to an excessive use of resources and high costs. The research proposes the development of a guide to promote the use of eco-friendly materials and improve energy efficiency in one-story homes. Specific objectives include gathering information, evaluating factors affecting material selection, and developing a practical guide. The idea that the application of thermal insulating materials improves energy efficiency in single-family homes is defended. The research approach is non-experimental, with structured interviews as a technique to obtain descriptive data and understand the constructed reality. The scope of the study is descriptive, with no control for variables, and expert sampling is used to select participants with desired profiles. The results express the importance of reducing energy waste in construction and suggest practices such as the use of solar panels and thermal materials. The construction guide focused on energy efficiency highlights the management of temperature, acoustics and lighting, considering the geographical location and orientation of the house. Sustainable practices are promoted and specific construction methods are suggested to address temperature and noise problems, contributing to more energy-efficient construction.
