सारांश:This study examines the impact of tourism and travel influencers on social media content creation, with a particular focus on Instagram and its influence on influencer formation and the Ecuadorian economy. It highlights the importance of these influencers in destination promotion, tourism decisionmaking, and local economic development. The study used qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive methods and relied on content analysis of three influencers and eight active consumers on Instagram. It was concluded that influencers play a significant role in disseminating travel information and inspiration, although challenges regarding authenticity and transparency were observed. Recommendations include promoting academic training in tourism and social media, fostering collaboration between influencers and stakeholders in the tourism industry, implementing sustainable monetization strategies, increased regulation and transparency of influencer marketing, as well as further research and monitoring of influencer influence in the tourism sector.
